Posted in blog on 11/21/2009 07:22 pm by KeerstenOur girl is already a week old–how is that possible? We are home and trying to figure out our new routine. (Ha!) Actually, things are going well. The girls love her and Megan is a great helper. She is a pretty content baby who loves to eat. At her one week appointment, we learned that she has gained 10oz. already. When the doc asked, I told him that she is solely nursed and he circled her weight and put a big exclamation point next to it. 
Here we are after the birth…so happy to finally have her here!
stats: 7lbs. 7oz. and 21 inches long
Megan can’t get enough of her. I love how sweet and attentive she is.
Emily is happy with her (sigh of relief) but not super interested.
If you know Emily, she kind of tends to do her own thing in general.
The other thing that got an exclamation point at her check up was how many infants their office has sent to the hospital with pneumonia. He said that cold and flu turn into it very easily for little ones. So, we are loving having healthy visitors, but asking that your cute kids stay away for a few more weeks. I am looking forward to joining the living soon (although probably not too soon, based on my paranoia of taking her into crowds); as well as possibly keeping my house clean for more than 30 minutes. Okay, I guess that was just wishful thinking before she was born too…we’ll see. Someday maybe.

Congratulations! She is a little doll. So glad the girls are doing well with her. I think you are right to keep holed up and away from as many germs as possible! Get some sleep and enjoy that sweet family.

Oh you guys! Amanda is so gorgeous – what a perfect little face, just like her big sisters! STAY AT HOME. Enjoy that gal and we’ll meet her later. Congratulations!

She is a beautiful newborn and that’s not an obligatory compliment! She’s lovely! Congratulations! All your girls are lovely! Enjoy it, each baby grows up so much faster than the last. Our Gracie just started solids and I held her off until six months. Where did that time go?

She is SO beautiful!! And she definately is yours–fits right into the family with those cute little lips!
I totally agree with you–don’t take her out until absolutely necessary!!!

She’s gorgeous! Girls are so fun to dress-up and having 3 now adds so much fun! I wouldn’t want to take her out in crowds in winter either. Stay healthy and get lots of rest! Our family sends love and well wishes!

Congrats!! I love pictures of beautiful newborn babies, and Amanda is beautiful. She is a doll!!– way too cute. Someday we will have to meet her in person.

I was so sad that I still had a little cough when we were in town on Sunday. But don’t you worry I am going to hold that little angel next time we are there. Congrats again!

Congratulations! She is beautiful. I am so happy she arrived safe and healthy! I would love to come see you sometime! We are getting over some colds so I will call you in a couple weeks. You are darling, and I miss our visiting teaching days. Look forward to talking with you soon.

We had our baby Thursday and we’re already paranoid about all sorts of things. She’s unfortunatley not the good eater your baby is. Emily Marie Spencer was born Thursday morning and weighed in at 7 lbs 12 oz and 21 1/2 inches long. We can’t wait for our two girls to meet!

What the… I had NO idea! It’s a good thing you came over to my blog… because I don’t spend any time on anyone’s anymore (including my own, as of late)! She is so sweet! Congratulations, I am so happy for you. I miss your smile and your laugh.
P.S. And yes… my baby fat is there, I promise.
