With a boat load of fun! We dropped the girls off for a sleepover at Papa and Grandma Banana’s on New Year’s morning. When we arrived we found that the New Years Fairy had been and left presents for the girls. (My Mom is so great!)

she is one funny girl
Meanwhile, we headed up to Solitude to go to dinner at the Yurt. Pamela and Nathan took us for Christmas-how’s that for an great gift?? I have to say it was one of the funnest things we have ever done! Usually, one snowshoes in, but the trail was so packed that most of us just walked.
my cool sis

our awesome chef
The chef (Moon Dog) cooked on a kerosene stove, which also kept it nice and toasty inside. The meal was wonderful. We started with a pancetta and bean soup, then had baby back ribs on a bed of cabbage. The next course was an unbelievable salad of baby greens with heirloom tomatoes and the smoothest peppered goat cheese I’ve ever had. The main course was pork tenderloin with fingerling potatoes. Then we had a decadent blueberry cake with this supper rich vanilla sauce. Oh so very good, almost as good as the company. Pamela and Nathan brought friends from Las Vegas who were so much fun, and we always love seeing Nathan’s sisters, Monica and Shannon; as well as Mark and his super sweet Mom. (Who I totally wanted to adopt.)
…to sum up, a good time was had by all. =) Thanks again Pamela and Nathan!
